A B O U T
As a divorced mother of four, I've navigated my fair share of conflicts and misunderstandings. My personal experiences coupled with my inherent love for people, motivated me to become a mediator and drives my desire to help others find resolution. I received my mediation accreditation through the University of Utah and am a State of Utah court rostered mediator. I am also a member of the Utah Council on Conflict Resolution.

Everything you need to know about the mediation process
How does mediation work?
Both parties will have equal time to share their thoughts, feelings, concerns and desired outcomes regarding the dispute. I will help set an agenda of topics to discuss and will facilitate a dialogue between the parties; helping to understand each other's perspectives and identify areas of agreement. The goal is to work together towards a mutually acceptable solution, which can then be formalized in a written agreement if wanted.
How do I know if I need mediation?
You might consider mediation if you're involved in a dispute that's causing significant stress or tension. If you're struggling to communicate effectively with the other party or if you're unable to reach a resolution on your own, mediation can provide a structured and supportive environment to address the conflict. Additionally, if you're looking for a more collaborative and less adversarial approach to resolving the dispute, mediation can be a good option.
What are the advantages of mediation?
Mediation offers several advantages over traditional legal processes. It can be a more cost-effective and time-efficient way to resolve disputes. It also allows for greater control over the outcome, as you and the other party can work together to find a solution that meets your specific needs. Mediation can be less stressful and adversarial than litigation, fostering a more cooperative and respectful atmosphere. Additionally, mediation often leads to more durable and creative solutions than those reached through court proceedings.
Do I have to be in the same room as the other person?
Mediations can be conducted in person or via ZOOM. You can choose to have all parties in the same virtual room or opt for separate "rooms" for privacy or comfort. This flexibility ensures that the mediation process can accommodate various needs and preferences.
